My wife and I are 51 years old.We left Cartagena at 3:00 p.m. sailing for the Panama Canal. We arrived in Limon Bay at the Caribbean entrance to the Panama Canal at about 6:50 a.m. The bay narrows into a discernable channel much like a funnel. We were very fortunate in that it did not rain during our transit. It is an awesome sight to be on either side of the three locks and look at a ship on the opposite side seeing it sit so far above or below your position! It was such a great moment to have a chance to enjoy breath taking scenery..

We Cruise the Panama Canal some years ago and our cruise includes Mexico, costa Rica and Jamaica. Cruise lines pat attention to the mountains and make adjustments. Cruising in Panama was great and safe. We tour from the ship that included a train ride across Panama to the Pacific Coast, a tour from the ship that included a train ride across Panama to the Pacific Coast.
